The CW has released a new promotional poster congratulating Supernatural for it's People's Choice Award wins.  Hey, I'm thrilled that The CW would do any type of promotion over Supernatural winning The People's Choice Awards for Favorite Network Drama and Favorite SciFi/Fantasy Show.  A promotional poster can be pretty exciting!

However, not to spoil the mood or anything, but did the person who created this ever watch the show?  Talk about a tone that just isn't what this show is about.  Perhaps it's just me.  I digress though, any type of attention is better than none at all.  Below is the poster.

Suzee51 sent me a wonderful piece of news she received from TNT.  Up until now, they have had trouble securing the last six episodes from The CW of season 6.  Well no more!  They now have to rights to those episodes and in celebration of that, they will be airing those six episodes along with four others in a Supernatural marathon on February 20th, aka President's Day!  Ten hours straight of the boys to make our holiday that much brighter.  So mark it on the calendar!  Thanks to Suzee51 for the tip.

Redbird, a very avid Supernatural fan, due to personal circumstances cannot attend the Salute To Supernatural Convention in Los Angeles March 2-4.  Her gold ticket was already sold to another redhead, one that runs a particular Supernatural fan site (I'm so excited, it's my first LA Con!), but she has a few photo ops and autograph tickets for sale.  Below are the tickets and the prices:

Jared and Jensen duo photo op ($219)

Jensen photo op ($129)

Jared photo op ($129)

Jensen autograph ($89)

Jared autograph ($89)

These are less expensive than what's on Creation's site, because she's not trying to recoup the shipping/handling fee.  Please contact Redbird at redbird72spn@gmail.com if interested!  Then after the con, be sure the share your photo op with us here.  We love seeing all that pretty!

Yeah, it helps when there's a major press tour in town, doesn't it?  Here's another Supernatural interview, this time from Eric Goldman at IGN with Supernatural Executive Producer Robert Singer.  It doesn't reveal too much that was already said, but it does say that season eight is looking likely.

Here's a fascinating article from the LA Times "Hero Complex" section about tonight's episode "Time After Time."  There are some great quotes from Sera Gamble.  It seems that Supernatural is really trying a new concept with time travel this time.  Can't wait to see it!

This afternoon at the TCA Winter Press Tour in Pasadena, California,  Jared Padalecki was among the panel put on by the CW called, appropriately enough, "The Bad-Ass Boys of The CW."  Other panelists were Kris Polaha (Ringer), Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie),  Ed Westwick (Gossip Girl), Joseph Morgan (The Vampire Diaries) and Shane West(Nikita).

Something was amiss straight off.  CHUCK BASS SAT NEXT TO SAM WINCHESTER!!  I'm not sure if you all have heard my dream CW promo (If you want a good laugh check it out) but it involves a vicious Chuck Bass beating at the hands of Sam and Dean Winchester.  So, this picture REALLY makes me chuckle.

I've checked out the coverage of the panel on Twitter, and the best summaries can be found at The TV Addict and The Hollywood Reporter.  One of my favorite bits is Jared describing Sam Winchester's plight:  “I’ve died, gone to hell, been Lucifer...", Westwick, aka Mr. Chuck Bass himself interjects, "I need to tune in!"  The second bit is the whole response to who's a bigger bad-ass, Jared or Jensen.

Anyway, here's the reports from those that were there.

If you know of other good reports, please share!

Updated:  Here's a summary of some tweets, and some wonderful photos.  Man that guy makes me melt!

The outrage continues about the Supernatural snub during the live broadcast of the People's Choice Award last night.  Laura Prudom of The Huffington Post, a well known fan and blogger for the show, has put up the most perfect commentary about how among many good points, the category would have likely been presented if CBS' "The Good Wife" had won instead.  I say it would have also happened if "The Vampire Diaries" won.  Anyway, this article is a MUST READ for anyone still feeling ambivalent over the whole matter.

We're still waiting for our apology People's Choice!

Here's another awesome interview from Ileane Rudolph at TV Guide.  She's got a candid interview with Jim Beaver in which he talks about getting killed off the show.  It got me teary actually.  It also stil solidifies the fact that I'm in the anger stage right now over Bobby's death.

Oh, and for those of you that missed our Poll on the subject:

I know there has been some confusion on when Supernatural is going to be airing recently, so I thought I'd share what I know.  This Friday, 1/13, episode 7.12, "Time After Time" will air.  After that, Supernatural goes into repeats for two weeks so that The CW can air repeats of a new reality show "Remodeled" at 8pm (they're really trying to push this one).  I can't find any official word when episode 7.13 will air, but currently the tentative date is 2/3/2012. However, that could change.

Updated:  Supernatural returns with new episodes February 3rd.

So here's the schedule as follows:

1/13  "Time After Time"  (New Episode)
1/20  "The Girl Next Door" (Repeat)
1/27  "Defending Your Life" (Repeat)
2/3   "Slice Girls" (New Episode)

I'll update this as information becomes available.

You might be noticing some changes here over the next few days.  Despite all the little changes I've made to this site here and there, I haven't done a major upgrade in almost two years.  I have a new template (with new colors, a new header, and a new layout) ready to go, but I have to perform some behind the scenes upgrades before I put in that template.  Then, after the template goes in, there will be a few days of bug fixes planned. It's my goal to have this site running smoothly by the time "Adventures in Babysitting" airs next week.

Sometime around January 1st or 2nd, the site is going to be down for an hour or two as I put in the new template and activate the new features.  There's going to be little advanced warning, so I'll get the apologies for the inconvenience out of the way now.  An announcement will go on our Twitter and Facebook when the site is going down.

Once the new site is up, feedback and suggestions will be most appreciated.  I'll put out an article once all the changes are in place sharing all the new features and how to navigate the site.

In the meantime, we might be a little light on articles the next week.  I don't have any articles in the queue to share and I won't have time to write any.  I'll alert everyone to any updates to our spoiler page if any previews happen leading up to Supernatural's return on January 6th.

Thanks again in advance for your patience.  Hopefully you'll enjoy our new and improved site.

The CW released today a minute long promo video showing a barrage of clips (upcoming and past) from the shows that received a People's Choice Award Nomination for the network.  Supernatural is among those shows, and if you don't blink you'll get to see some quick clips from the show!  A small amount are from upcoming episodes but you need to be a wizard with the pause button to figure out what.  I'd actually be more worried about Vampire Diaries and Secret Circle spoilers than Supernatural.

Anyway, here's the video!  Something to help pass the time for 17 more days.

I've been going back through season four recently to improve the Photo Gallery, and it was in going through that season that I realized just how much I sorely miss Misha Collins and the character of Castiel.  His demise in episode 7.02 has been a real blow to me personally.

So naturally, my heart jumped at the confirmation from Warner Brothers that Misha Collins has been officially scheduled to appear in episode 17 of Supernatural and will be in an additional two episodes after that in season seven.

Some reports from other outlets made some pretty bold assumptions though that Misha was coming back as Castiel.  According to the statement, only Misha's return was confirmed, not Castiel's.  So we'll see what happens, but either way, I'm treating this as very good news.  What do you think?

UPDATED:  Laura Prudom of AOL TV went to the source.  Misha Collins confirms that Castiel will be coming back!  In his usual way though, he didn't give much of a straight answer.  He did give this though:

"I can confirm that the character of Castiel is returning to 'Supernatural,'" he told us. "I'm not supposed to talk about any details, but I will tell you this: The character is coming back somewhat changed. I'm not going to tell you everything, but I will tell you that the "new" Castiel no longer wears undergarments."

It's about time something like this happened!  AOL TV first broke the story today that "MAD," a Warner Brothers animated show that airs on Cartoon Network Monday evenings, will be parodying none other than the Winchester brothers!  Sam and Dean in animated form will face their most gruesome case yet, a 16 year old planning her sweet sixteen.  Of course something isn't quite right with this girl, but that doesn't stop humiliation galore from happening to the brothers in the meantime.

Now for those of you shouting at me, "I'm not in the US!" or "I don't get The Cartoon Network!" I do have a bonus for you.  Here's a clip. I'm going to send the massive LOL warning right now.  There's a reason it's called "MAD".  You know it's not the angry kind.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xqk7H_KyL7U

So what do you think?  I'm thinking that we desperately needed a laugh.  The timing couldn't be better!

Watch this special sketch of "MAD" on Monday, December 5th at 8:30 pm on The Cartoon Network.

We've always been supportive of the various fundraisers that have happened in the fandom.  One has come to my attention that supports Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation that's running through next month at Supernatural-Fandom.com.  Below is all the information I received about the fundraiser:

We are currently running a fundraiser (our first) which ends on December 23rd.

We allowed the fans to vote for which charity we're supporting and the fandom chose the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Every single one of my staff members (myself included) is somehow affected by type 1 diabetes so this fundraiser is hitting home. We want it to succeed.  We've gotten some amazing raffle donations.

Our fundraiser works like this: For every $10 a fan donates, that fan is entered once into the raffle drawing. For every $50 the fan donates, he/she is entered six times into the raffle drawing. The fundraiser ends December 23rd. The week between Christmas and New Years we will be drawing the winners and announcing them on our site, on Facebook, and on Twitter.

Here are some important links regarding the fundraiser:

1. http://supernatural-fandom.com/index.htm - This is the homepage, but it has a thermometer with the fundraiser results on it.
2. http://supernatural-fandom.com/funprizes.htm - This is for prizes already donated, and also tells fans how to donate.
3. http://jdrfevents.donordrive.com/campaign/spnfandom - This is the page where the donations are actually taken. It's through the JDRF website. Supernatural-fandom.com has no access to the money donated.
4. http://supernatural-fandom.com/rickmeetgreet.htm - This is information on the Rick Worthy Lunch Date. It is NOT included in the raffle. It's being done auction-style.

So please, I know this is a generous fandom, help support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  The goal is a very attainable $2500 and these are some really nice prizes.  Good luck to Supernatural-Fandom.com!

I just saw this and I know many of you who planned to attend.  Creation Entertainment has announced that due to scheduling conflicts with their special guest stars (I'm presuming Jared and Jensen), Nashcon has been moved from the original date of June 2-3 to February 4-5.  Yes, that's an entire four months earlier.  It also puts you in Nashville during the winter months, which might kill any summer travel plans.

Below is the notice from Creation Entertainment:

In order to keep our current major star guests it necessitated changing the original convention date to the only other weekend that worked with their scheduling, which is thenew date of February 4-5, 2012. All previously sold Gold Tickets and "Works Packages" will be transferred to the new date and your hotel reservations (if made) will switch over to the new date as well. We regret this inconvenience but the only other option was canceling the convention. If the new date does not work for you please contact us at asponsor@creationent.com for various options. If you have issues please contact us via this email address rather than calling. Our customer service department will reopen on Monday November 14, 2011, so please email instead of calling. Please note that you will receive new tickets via email, which includes all Gold tickets, photo ops and autograph tickets. Your old tickets are void, so please discard them once you have your new tickets.

Thank you,
Creation Entertainment

So, does this change your travel plans?  I'm not sure if I'll be going now.
