Where does the time go? With only one week left before the season 7 premiere, I realize that I still have four! visual reviews to do in order to meet my goal of reviewing all the episodes before the new season.

Like a Virgin (6.12) - Sam’s soul feels like it had been skinned alive. What a horrific thought. And then he is back. Merciful amnesia clouding his mind, but still he learns some terrible, cruel secrets. Apart from that there are virgins abducted by dragons, Dean tries to pull out an Excalibur-like sword from a piece of stone and the Mother of All surfaces.
I remember holding off on writing my season five review until this time last year, shortly before the season six premiere. I personally loved how the five season arc was wrapped up, but I had a few criticisms about season five’s pacing, especially after coming off the perfectly plotted season four. Now I face something different with season six. I suddenly find myself forgiving all that happened in season five. Compared to season six, season five was quite superior.
There I go, being harsh again. I’ve been guilty of knocking season six down a bit and that on more than one occasion has hinted that I wasn’t happy with the season. I have to admit, it’s been my least favorite season thus far. But that doesn’t mean in any stretch of the imagination that I hated it. The strength of Supernatural is that even the worse episodes have moments worthy of watching. In season six, there wasn’t a “Bugs” in the bunch. However, there were plenty of things that left me wondering.
The last season has been a controversial one, to say the least. It divided the story and it divided the fandom. In the beginning I myself wasn’t quite sure what to make of the storyline and the development Sam’s character was taking, but I was enthralled by this show, again and again… and loved the sixth season.
Now, to continue the tradition I have started a while back – at first celebrating the show’s hundredth episode, then celebrating it all, actually – this is my instalment of my favourite moments of season six.

Better late than never, right? I'm almost a week behind my goal of writing up a visual review a week, so I better get going! Not too much time left before the season starts, which is a fantastic thing to be able to say. So, up this week is the very fun "Frontierland," directed by the great and fabulous Guy Norman Bee. Check out Sablegreen's exclusive interview with him, if you haven't already, and follow him on Twitter @guynormanbee if you're on Twitter. Or just enjoy the episodes that he directs. I know I do! All right, enough kissing up to Mr. Bee. Let's take a look at the pretty from "Frontierland," shall we? And there was a LOT of pretty in this episode. Seriously. I probably could have posted 30 shots from this episode, but because I upload my own articles to the site now, I didn't because I am lazy and wanted to make less work for myself. What? Totally valid reason!
As season 7 approaches and season 6 DVD’s are on their way out soon, I wanted to write this article not just to say why I liked season 6, but that I was surprised I liked season 6.

And now for the episode that never fails to make me sing a bad Celine Dion song repeatedly until I want to scream, it's "My Heart Will Go On." Alice kept up her end of our article-writing bargain this week with her excellent review of "Mannequin 3," so I couldn't be the slacker and not do my part! Anyway, "My Heart Will Go On" was directed by Phil Sgriccia, a man who, at this point, really needs no introduction. So let's get to the pretty, shall we?
Ardeospina and I made a deal. She’s going to finish all her visual reviews for season six before the season seven premiere, and I’m going to finish all my delinquent episode recaps before then. So, that means that yes, I get to pour through every single second of episodes like “Mannequin 3: The Reckoning.” I’m a glutton for punishment. The episode wasn’t “Bugs” or “Hammer of The Gods,” but it still bugged the crap out of me and earns my title of season’s worst. Now you get to find out why! Let’s go.

Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve posted one of these! In fact, I didn’t visually review the last seven episodes, and wouldn’t you know it? We have seven weeks left until the season premiere! So why don’t we take a trip down memory lane and see where the end of season 6 took us, shall we? This episode was directed by Mike Rohl, a veteran TV director and master of the helm 8 times for “Supernatural,” including one of my personal favorite episodes, “On the Head of a Pin.”
