Warning!!!! If you haven’t seen the latest episode of “Supernatural” and the preview for next week, do not read this! There is going to be plot-based speculation and discussion! You’ve been officially warned!
Ding dong, this Hellatus is dead! And I really liked this episode a whole lot, so I thought it was a great way to come back. This episode was a really great example of how good “Supernatural” is at mixing poignant drama with dark comedy. At first, I was so, so, so happy to see Ellen. But then I realized that she was going to be gone at the end of the episode, and oh, that was hard. I’m glad Jo was alive somewhere in that universe, but I wish we could have seen her, too. I always liked Jo. But really, what I want to speculate about tonight has to do with Cass and his war.

I'll tell ya, the hits just keep on coming! Not only is it the return from Hellatus today, but promo photos from not just one but two episodes were released by The CW today! The photos can be seen in our Photo Gallery. Check them out!
6.19 - "Mommy Dearest"
6.20 - "The Man Who Would Be King"
My absolute favorite of all them, probably from all season, comes from "Mommy Dearest." I never thought I would see all four guys sitting at a booth in a diner. It's a fan fic dream come true!!!!
First let me say this article is all speculation and theorizing from myself and friends. Speculation is fun, and can lead to interesting discussions, as I hope this one does. If you enjoy it, great, I had fun writing it, as I love pondering my favorite show. It you have a different POV or idea, please share, as whatever course this episode takes, theoretical or otherwise, it will not be view the same by everyone. So as the final episodes of season six are written, and almost completely filmed, let’s spend some hiatus time trying to decipher what the writers have in store for us.
Oh boy, I'm gonna warn you all right now, Friday’s upcoming episode, “The French Mistake” is a wild one. I was fortunate again to get a full length preview of this episode and all I can say is Ben Edlund likes to push buttons. Even his own!
I got a pleasant surprise yesterday. For the first time this season, I had the honor of getting a special critic’s preview of a Supernatural episode. I saw in it’s entirety episode 6.12, “Like a Virgin.” After watching this episode twice, I couldn’t wait to get online and share details (okay teasers) about what I saw. Then, I started reading recent comments on this site…
Pardon me before I get into the awesomeness that is “Supernatural,” but I can’t avoid being philosophical first. You see, these long Hellatuses really drive fans crazy. Tempers are flaring a bit right now. We get restless, overanalyze, start nitpicking and fighting, and tend to lose perspective. Sometimes fans decide they want to see this in a character or that in a story line and grow more outraged over what’s not happening and start building a platform to state their cases and eventually shout from rooftops “Oh why oh why won’t they listen to us!” Then, to make matters worse, there are those of us on the ground who end up shouting back, mostly in the attempt to talk people down from the roof, but it ends up being antagonistic. That naturally makes the rooftop dwellers madder since they think their opinions are being disrespected and mass insanity ensues. You may think I’m being overly absurd, but read some of the recent comments on this site. I’m actually being rational with that analogy.
Anyway, fan behavior is not the point of this article. It’s to get excited about Friday’s (Feb 4th) upcoming episode, “Like A Virgin.” In the past with these special previews, I have usually squealed like a fan girl, jumping up and down, raving about the absolutely freaking awesome episode that is coming and you won’t be disappointed. However, if I’ve learned anything from season six, it’s that setting fan expectations too high is a dangerous thing. It’s clear that what I love is not what many others are going to love. So this time, I’ll speak from a more analytical perspective.

Monday, Monday, it must be clip time... Okay, bad parody. Yes, new episode on Friday, new clips on Monday. This one is going to be interesting. They're taking on the Twilight culture. Here's a sample! As usual, videos courtesty of The CW.

This week's upcoming episode is a big first. It's the directorial debut of Jensen Ackles! It's Monday, so here are some clips to wet our appetite until Friday. By wet our appetite, I mean drive us stark raving insane for more until then.

It's Monday! It's clip day. Time to go crazy over the possibilities for the next four days. This clip is hugely satisfying, especially if you've been dying to see our less than fluffy warrior angel this season. Castiel is back! I so missed him! Video clip is courtesy of The CW.

Time for more preview pictures. This time it's for episode 6.04, aka, the directorial debut of Jensen Ackles! There are twenty preview pictures for "Weekend At Bobby's" and they are quite awesome! This was the first episode filmed this season, so apparently there's a lot to share. Also, Rufus is back! And Crowley is back! And the sheriff from "Dead Mean Don't Wear Plaid" is back! It's all good.
