Okay, I had a silly moment today where I started putting this stuff down off the top of my head. I do it all the time at work, it's called "Fun Facts Day," but I've never done a Supernatural one before. Anyway, here's the results, in no particular order. It isn't much, but Mondays are the best days for silliness.

Supernatural Fun Facts
Eric Kripke figured out about the seventh episode into season one that the urban legends idea wasn’t going to work for the rest of the series. Or the rest of the season. The chemistry between Jared and Jensen was too great, so the emphasis switched to the brothers. He also picked an Impala over his initial idea of a 65 Mustang because with an Impala, “You can put a body in the trunk.”
Ever wonder why Kripke Enterprises is Scrap Metal and Entertainment? Simple, the original Kripke Enterprises, based out of Toledo, Ohio (Eric’s home town) is his dad’s scrap metal business. When Eric got into TV production, the business expanded. That scrap metal arm of the business still exists today in the second dirtiest city in Ohio, next to Youngstown. (I’m from this state, I’m allowed to kid!)
Sam and Dean both have died on May 2nd, Sam’s birthday, which proves that Sam has had some pretty sucky birthdays. We won’t even talk about what happens around Halloween.
Sam has been known to take massive beatings. (Lifted straight from supernatural.wiki. I love that!).

Dean is actually known for his perky nipples, as well as some other awesome qualities.
Jensen initially got the role of Sam, but was recast as Dean when Jared came along and auditioned. Lucky for Jensen, he apparently liked the role of Dean better because Dean was funnier. Either that or he bought into the whole “Han Solo” pitch they gave him after telling him he was switching roles. Either way, we’ll never know the real truth.
Kim Manners, long time Supernatural director and Executive Producer, directed one of the most controversial episodes ever in network television on The X-Files. The episode was titled “Home” and was about a creepy family of inbreds who loved their momma a little too well. Fox aired the episode once and promised it would never be repeated again. I personally think it was one of the more entertaining (yet shocking) episodes of that series. But then again, I’ve only seen it once.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan is only twelve years older than Jensen. He’s one convincing actor as a dad.
Bobby’s role was only supposed to be a one time deal, in the episode “Devil’s Trap.” Needless to say, Jim made an impression.
Misha Collins folded his software company when he figured out that something was wrong in the fact that his acting jobs ended up supporting his company. He called the company one of his get rich quick schemes anyway.
Misha was very very glad his grandmother missed his appearance on Nip/Tuck. Why an actor would encourage his grandmother to watch him play a contortionist that gratifies himself in very strange ways boggles my mind, but it all worked out.
Traci Dinwiddie (Pamela Barnes) had a great description for Jared’s ass. “That thing is bulletproof.”
Jared is a huge Bon Jovi fan and starred with Jon Bon Jovi in “Cry Wolf.”
Jensen did an independent film with his friend Jason Manns and his girlfriend Danneel Harris called “The Plight of Clownana.” Jason lists that as the shameless role that he constantly uses to embarrass Jensen with. He apparently keeps of list of such roles for all his friends, making us wonder how he has friends. Wait until you see what he has on Michael Rosenbaum.
Jensen drives a truck, Jared drives a Corvette. I can’t figure out how Jared fits two large dogs in a Corvette.
Jared and Tom Welling are friends. Jensen and Tom Welling are friends, however, there is no pictorial evidence that these three have ever been in the same room together.
Jared is awesome at Guitar Hero, and even kicked Justin Hartley’s butt during a segment for some CW entertainment magazine. Here’s the link: ">.
Jensen actually has among his accolades a Soap Opera Digest award. It’s on his mantle, next to his high school baseball and lacrosse trophies (okay I made that last part up).

still makes me wonder how the story would have gone had they played that story out further. cause i liked it. whats ur opinions of that one alice?
Alice, there is photographic evidence that Jared, Jensen and Tom have been in the same room together. I remembered seeing one from some CW party. I couldn't find it in any of the usual galleries, so I did a google image search and found the picture I remembered. It was from a CW party in January 2006 and, besides Jensen, Jared and Tom, Michael Rosenbaum and Dawn Ostroff are in the picture. Go here and enjoy: http://media.photobucket.com/image/cw%20welling%20padalecki%20ackles/darkhorses/JPTWMRJA.png

Both Dean and Jessica are born on the same day, and that day is the same day as Kripke's wife's b-day.
Kripke has named different guest characters different people he knows!
