Time for part two of the Top Ten Supernatural Standalone Episodes list!  I didn't keep you all waiting too long.  For those that missed part one, the definition of a standalone episode is as follows:

An episode that can stand alone on its own with a self-contained story that does not need prior viewing of any other episode to understand. It's usually an episode that breaks from the current arc to focus on a one-shot subplot or character.

Also keep in mind that in later seasons, the definition of "standalone" gets stretched a bit, since just about every episode has some sort of tie in by then.  With that in mind, here's the remaining top six.

Here's a top ten list that's been on my to do list for some time.  As you all know, Supernatural episodes are divided between mytharc episodes and stand alones.  I've never taken a look at the stellar stand alone episodes that have given fans some extraodinary memories from the series.

What is a “stand alone episode” exactly?  I thought I had an idea, but Supernatural always likes pushing those boundaries when it comes to its episodes.  A lot of the MOTW (monster of the week) episodes have some sort of tie in to the mytharc.  So, I went to Google and found this definition:

An episode that can stand alone on its own with a self-contained story that does not need prior viewing of any other episode to understand. It's usually an episode that breaks from the current arc to focus on a one-shot subplot or character.

Okay, good to know.  The question I’ve asked myself for every single episode on this list, “Could a new viewer watch this episode and not be confused?”  I think all of these meet that criteria.  Once I started listing and ranking qualifying episodes, the results surprised me a little.

Today is Misha Collins’ 37th birthday.  Happy birthday, Misha!  So, in order to help him celebrate, I’ve put together a list of the Top 11 Castiel Moments.  Because nothing says “birthday” like a list!

In honor of Jim Beaver’s birthday (yes, I know it was Thursday but better late than never), what better than to take a look at the top ten (with honorable mention) scenes that just make Bobby Singer then best damn supporting character on the planet.  Here’s my arbitrary, unscientific ranking from honorable mention to best.

As many of you know, I am expecting my first baby in October.  (In fact, Alice has started a betting pool on when I’ll deliver, so check out the forums and weigh in.  There’s even a prize involved!)  And since I have my priorities straight, this kid is going to need some “Supernatural” baby gear to wear!  So in honor of the soon-to-be “Supernatural” fan in our household, here are the Top 7 Baby T-shirt Designs I whipped up on a lark.

As we all know, “Supernatural” is awesome and we think about it all the time anyway.  I mean, who doesn’t think of Dean when they eat pie or Castiel when they see a trench coat or Bobby when they see a trucker’s cap or Sam when someone tries to puppy-dog eye them?  There’s a strong association between the show and things on the show that reminds us of, well, the show!  But there are other normal, everyday things that also make me think of “Supernatural” because my mind just works that way.  So without further ado, here are my Top Ten Random Things That Remind Me of “Supernatural.”

Just like any work of art (and I consider Supernatural to be one in its own form), something that is poignant is subjective and deeply personal. So when I began brainstorming the Top Ten Most Poignant "Supernatural" Moments, I simply thought about those instances in the show where where I gulped down the lump in my throat while something familiar twisted inside myself.  And take note; these are moments, not full episodes. Sometimes there are two occurances that happened in one episode, because for me, it only took a few words and a good camera angle to draw the box of tissues close.

Here's my list, and I would welcome your comments with additional moments. They are listed chronologically by episode, in otherwise no specific order.

This is my Top 10 list of my favorite line readings from season 1.  I’m not talking about favorite quotes, but the way the actor said the line.  Favorite quotes would be a very different, very difficult list to write!  Hopefully, I can explain a little more about why I liked each line besides just saying “I liked the way they said that!”  So here we go!

Holiday weekends and episode repeat weeks are a great time to go back and revive an old favorite that hasn't been done on this site in a while.  Probably because we've been WAY too busy with this season.  After watching a few episodes from all the seasons recently, I realized that Supernatural has had some great opening teasers.  You know, the segment of the episode after any "NOW" rundowns through the title card.
