An Ode To Kim Manners – By Karen
It’s always disappointing to read casual, dismissive references to Supernatural as simply a fantasy genre show featuring two hunky brothers. While that superficial description of the show is true on its face, it merely provides the framework for a profound exploration of a multitude of bigger themes: loyalty, family, morality, self-sacrifice, free will and destiny,…
The human mind loves a story. We’re just perfectly built to be captivated by a dramatic narrative. And if words that flow together effortlessly make a great story, well – you know what they say about a picture. But, if a picture’s value is a whopping thousand words, then a moving picture is certainly worth…
Welcome to the haiku episode guide for season two! This was where it all began for me; I wrote the very first of my episode haiku for “Croatoan,” and later went back to fill in all the holes. Dean’s despair and resignation in “Croatoan” made poetry my only appropriate response; that has never changed. Hope…
The dark and suspenseful supernatural/horror TV drama‚ “Supernatural,†has become more and more popular in recent years, and now seems to have one of the largest followings on television. Featuring all sorts of supernatural elements and creatures, this show appeals to a variety of audiences, from those who are inclined to like dark drama, to…
I accept, I’ve always needed a “catch all” thread going here. The one where you can make comments about the little jarring changes I keep making to the site, suggestions about what you’d like to see (yes a spoiler page is in the works once spoilers actually start happening) or you might have a question…
I just received this from TV Guide magazine. This is one of the covers for the special Comic Con edition of TV Guide that is handed out to convention goers every year. "Supernatural" made the cover!! This is the first time "Supernatural" has been featured as a cover. This edition is especially special for me,…
God bless you, Karen, this is beautiful.
I’m so happy that we share the same opinion – the most important thing is, indeed, how much we are loved by others. And it moves me to tears when I see that others are.
And I’m grateful to have that in my own life.
Thank you, Karen. Thank you so much. Love, Jas
Karen, you are such an amazing woman. I’m truly touched by this and stand behind your words 100%.
He directed many of my fave x-files eppies and then many of my SPN faves too. I too, love the Paley festival -interviews. They were all so at ease, so comfortable, and you could see all the love and respect they had for one another. And then later, everyone was so devastated by his passing, as were we. He was such a talent, I wish I’d known him personally, I bet he was a wonderfull man.
But thank you Karen, this is very enchanting and beautiful.
Verily, the bard speaketh the truth. Awesome stuff, Karen and if we’re going by that line from Oz, he was judged more than worthy.
Oz is one of the wisest and most heartwarming tales… ;-), Jas
Beautiful Karen…as always!
