Illustrated Song for Two Brothers

The inspirations keep coming to me these days, and upon taking out my best-of cd of Peter Gabriel I stumbled upon this song I haven’t listened to in a very long time. It just sounded like written for our favourite characters. Enjoy.

Don’t Give Up

By Peter Gabriel

In this proud land we grew up strong
we were wanted all along

pastedGraphic.pdf

I was taught to fight, taught to win
I never thought I could fail

pastedGraphic_1.pdf

no fight left or so it seems
I am a man whose dreams have all deserted

pastedGraphic_2.pdf

I've changed my face, I've changed my name
but no one wants you when you lose

pastedGraphic_3.pdf

Don't give up
'cos you have friends

pastedGraphic_4.pdf

Don't give up
You're not beaten yet

pastedGraphic_5.pdf

Don't give up
I know you can make it good

pastedGraphic_6.pdf

Though I saw it all around
Never thought I could be affected

pastedGraphic_7.pdf

Thought that we'd be the last to go
It is so strange the way things turn

pastedGraphic_8.pdf

Drove the night toward my home
The place that I was born, on the lakeside

pastedGraphic_9.pdf

As daylight broke, I saw the earth
The trees had burned down to the ground

pastedGraphic_10.pdf

Don't give up
You still have us

pastedGraphic_11.pdf

Don't give up
We don't need much of anything

pastedGraphic_12.pdf

Don't give up
'cause somewhere there's a place
Where we belong

pastedGraphic_13.pdf

Rest your head
You worry too much
It's going to be alright

pastedGraphic_14.pdf

When times get rough
You can fall back on us
Don't give up
Please don't give up

pastedGraphic_15.pdf

Got to walk out of here
I can't take anymore

pastedGraphic_16.pdf

Going to stand on that bridge
Keep my eyes down below

pastedGraphic_17.pdf

Whatever may come
And whatever may go
That river's flowing
That river's flowing

pastedGraphic_18.pdf

Moved on to another town
Tried hard to settle down

pastedGraphic_19.pdf

For every job, so many men
So many men no-one needs

pastedGraphic_20.pdf

Don't give up
'cause you have friends

pastedGraphic_21.pdf

Don't give up
You're not the only one
Don't give up
No reason to be ashamed

pastedGraphic_22.pdf

Don't give up
You still have us

pastedGraphic_23.pdf

Don't give up now
We're proud of who you are

pastedGraphic_24.pdf

 pastedGraphic_25.pdf

Don't give up
You know it's never been easy

pastedGraphic_26.pdf

Don't give up
'cause I believe there's the a place
There's a place where we belong

Oh Jas! I remember that song! Kate Bush also sang it with him. This is a perfect song for The Brothers Winchester.

I've often thought of songs that suited our heroes trials tribulations.

This is War--30 seconds to Mars.

Running Up that Hill--Kate Bush

Crossfire--Brandon Flowers

I can spend the whole day on YouTube!! anyway thanks for this!

Hi, CalifornianLeslie, dear, thank you! Happy that you like this pic. I just found the clip of 30 seconds to Mars on youtube, wow, what a fantastic video!!! Thanks so much for pointing that out.
It's a blessing I have no idea how to make music videos, or I'd be sitting here doing nothing else, I reckon ;-). Then again, it might only be a matter of time... running Up That Hill is also a fantastic one. Do you happen to know the cover version from Placebo (here's one link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzIkvAFQVnE, but I'm sure you know that one already)? Normally I don't exactly like those, but this one is indeed great.

Thanks again, love Jas

Alice, did you just do that? Or is there a magic button I have unexpectedly pushed...? I put in a link and the video pops up?
I am impressed! and confused :-)

Wow! Lovely. After reading the illustrated songs, I try to avoid listening to the YouTube versions as I can't help tearing up.

I know the WInchester Brothers are fiction, but when confronted with the TV series, fanvids, pics, art manips, fan fiction (GenFic and Wincest), they make me ache terribly to protect the brothers.
