The Winchester Family Business

 
 
For a while now, I have had news items, photos, videos and tidbits of the show I have come across while searching for spoilers that really weren’t spoilers, but would be interesting to share.  In lieu of my preview article during the hiatus, I thought I’d do some articles including all these odds and ends of the series that were interesting but just didn’t fit anywhere else.  No spoilers will be posted here.  Those will still be only on the spoiler page.  
 
One such item was released a few days ago.  The CW has released a few more season 6 promo pictures.  The series own version of the “men in black’ and very effective they are indeed.
 


When I first saw the new photos, my heart skipped a beat.  Dean was wearing jewelry around his neck!  Of course I immediately though that was a sign the amulet was coming back, but no…not the case.
 
For all who don’t know the story of this shoot, it was done in Los Angeles and the series’ normal wardrobe was shipped from Vancouver to LA for the photos.  However the whole wardrobe was stolen, including Dean’s leather jacket, so the photographer had to improvise, and as he was not familiar with the series, the clothes he chose were much different than we normally see….including the necklaces around Jensen’s neck.  I think he chose well!  Maybe he should be on the series permanently!  Love Misha in black!

Seems the series also has its own version of the chipmunks.  Some very clever fan put this together.  I think Alvin is in the center.


 
Another interesting photo was posted by Misha on his twitter account with the comment, “today at my "other job," i had to work with this guy who wouldn't stop bitching. I didn't let it bother me though."
 
 

 
Seems Misha’s ‘other job’ is a movie in the works called “Divine”.  No idea when it will be released, but it was being filmed in Vancouver last month.  There was a lot of discussion online that the ‘body’ was Jensen Ackles.  That has never been confirmed, but it’s interesting to think about.

The episode scheduled for December 24^th is “Family Matters” (6.07).  This episode was directed by Guy Bee, who recently released a photo of the J2s and him goofing around on the set while filming the episode.  They do have so much fun on the show!
 

 
The series resumes filming January 3, 2011, with the first new episode 6.12, “Like a Virgin”, airing January 28^th.
