Silver Lining: "Defending Your Life" - A Great Hair Episode

Okay, I'll admit, I've been a little harsh on our little show the past two episodes.  I accept that eventually I'll have to lower my standards, but for now, there was one huge pleasant surprise to come out of "Defending Your Life."  I didn't realize it until I was creating the screenshots for our Photo Gallery..  My my, this ended up being one of the best hair episodes ever.  Certainly the best by far for season seven.

Now, as you all probably realize, I have a thing over Sam Winchester's hair.   I turn into a puddle when I see things like this:

Or this ...



Or...HOLY MOTHER OF CHUCK!!!  IS THAT A SMILE?????? (thud...)



But, something extraordinary is happening this season.  Dean is growing his hair! When it comes to some impeccable wave on top, Sammy's floppy mop can't compare.  I mean, look at this sheer perfection:



Extreme guilt ain't giving his coif any strife.  What a profile!  



Not hurting much here either.



Look, another smile!  Maybe great hair is making these guys feel better?



Dean's even got a slight bang issue going here:



Sam though, bang control remains a pronounced issue.  His hair does what it wants.  You think a trim is in order?  Bite your tongue you heathen!





There's more waves in this shot than a beach.  Perfect synergy between front and back!  The waves are even going in the same direction!  Man, these guys do have some great chemistry.  



Sam still has an advantage though.  Fly away hair is the best kind of hair!



Wow, this smile thing is infectous!



Makes me happy all over...



A drink, a pretty girl, great hair, life is good!



You try again Sammy...



Try harder.  



Um, not quite there yet.



That's a bitchface Sam.



Yeah, that too.



Nope.



You're not even trying, are you? 

Ah well, what's great about all this is they saved the best for last.  Sam, Dean, Impala, beautiful landscape, great hair.  







So color me happy after all.  I guess "Defending Your Life" gets a win.  Here's hoping that if Winchester times are bad, at least the hair is good.

I couldn't agree more, what a great hair episode all around! I am loving Dean's slightly longer hair. Although I think two floppy mops may be a bit much so he'll need to keep it under control.

Oh, no, don't touch Sam's hair!! I love it that moppy. But a sideburn trim is on order, yes. They are hiding the cheekbones, it's a crime. ;-)

Thanks Alice for the Silver Lining. I've always loved Sam's hair long. And as for Dean...I love that their letting his hair grow out. I think it suits him better a little bit longer.

Miles and miles of smiles (and chuckles) for this Alice. And I'm twisting and twirling my own hair as I read it! I can't help it. I have to play with waves, while looking at the waves!

Sam's hair always gives us something to take about. But, I'm so glad Dean's slightly longer tresses are making themselves noteworthy now too.

Truth is though, I think Dean's hair has been angling for some attention ever since he had that most adorable case of cowboy hat-head in Frontierland. Smile. Sigh.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some the above article to flip through again... and again.. and again.. and then, maybe once more!

I'm really loving their hair this year, too. I started noticing at the first episode that Dean's hair was longer. I like it a whole lot better. :lol:

I just remember staring at Jensen's hair all the way through episode one this season. It was kinda distracting but in a good way. I really love it longer. Jared's is definitely better this season as well. Sideburns must go though.... way too long. Every time I see them I think of the Gran Torino from Starsky and Hutch lol. Somehow I don't think that was the look they were shooting for.
