This episode marked the directing debut of Serge Ladouceur, "Supernatural's" Director of Photography. I think he did a great job in his debut, don't you? While I wasn't fond of the episode, there's still some great things to look at, so here we go! In chronological order...
1.

This is a neat shot of little John's bedroom, but the real reason I've included it is I'm 99.99% certain the books behind the toy gun are "Hardy Boys" books. Well played, Show. Well played.
2.

This just makes me laugh. Sam is having an entirely appropriate reaction to someone falling out of the closet, and Dean is just like, "I'm gonna finish tying my boot lace, one sec."
3.

Dean looks like such a badass in this shot.
4.

Abaddon looks so angelic here, ironically. I liked this actress and thought she played a great demon.
5.

Now we know where Dean gets his love of baseball from, huh?
6.

Sam's best bitchface of the episode.
7.

I loooooooooove this shot. I adore light streaming through things and flashlight-fu anyway, so this is hitting those buttons and thensome. Add in a ghostly Impala in the background and Henry practically in black and white, and I'm totally sold. Gorgeous.
8.

The clouds are just so fluffy! I like the added touch of the neon stars from the motel sign sitting on the clouds.
9.

Sam looks slightly more relaxed and comfortable than Dean, but not by much because his legs are hanging off the bed. These two just look so tense, even when they're asleep. Dean can't even unclench his arms, and they're both sleeping in their clothes and on top of the covers like they just know something is going to happen and they'll need to go right away. Which, to be fair, it did. And maybe they should have known better and not let Henry stay awake by himself, but hey.
10.

Here's a very nice Impala driving away shot. I like the streaming light, as usual.
11.

Devil's Trap on a bullet. Very effective. I hope they use this one again.
12.

Here's a nice overhead shot at the cemetery. Very moody and atmospheric. Streaming light again, whoo! I also like the framing with Sam and Dean over on the side of the shot.
Some nice things happening in this episode, right? What were your favorite caps?

I might be showing my age here, but I was totally obsessed by the Hardy Boys when I was in primary school. My sister reminded me of this obsession just last weekend after I said that I couldn't remember being as obsessed about anything as I am about Supernatural.
I guess I must have a thing for adventurous brothers
I also love, love, love the pic of badass Dean. They always warm my heart.
I am 101% certain that those are the "Hardy Boys" books. I own a few from that particular set, one of them right next to me at the moment, and I'm 101% certain. The one on top is #9 "The Great Airport Mystery", and the one on the bottom is #36 "The Secret Of Pirates Hill".
