You know, I'm not sure whether to jump for joy over this second Winter Hellatus being over or drop my shoulders and weep in relief.  Either way, IT'S FINALLY EPISODE NIGHT!!!  As Homer Simpson would say, "Whoo hoo!"

So, once you see the episode, whether it be tonight or tommorrow or even next week, stop by here and tell us what you thought.  I heard it's going to be emotionally heavy, so make sure you have kleenexes handy! I feel your pain, Gentlesoul. My power went out with like 20 minutes left in the episode, so now I won't be able to see it until the CW puts it on their website. Ugh, I hate when that happens!!

This was just the most phenomenal episode of SPN I have seen in a long time. Maybe it was because I really didn't expect a lot, maybe because I was SO glad the hiatus was over, or maybe this is what I have been waiting to see on SPN for a long time.

It was sensitive, poignant, funny, mature, professional, geez,, I can't think of enough words to praise it. Perfect timing!!

The writing, directing, OF COURSE the acting was perfect. The boys were the brothers we used to see; Bobby was so true to life, it was great.

Loved the mustang photo, the 'It must be Thursday’, Dean leaning up against the impala in the yard (Please Alice a screencap of that), Sam 'saving the town' and the ‘calvary’ rescue at the end.

If there were holes in the epi, I didn’t see them, and don’t want to. Just SO GLAD, the series is back!

Off to the re-watch!

I must do a rewatch as well. Did I enjoy it? Absolutely, but so much happened I need to figure it out. The only thing I wished was in there was a small mention of the incidents from last episode. Then again, I know this one was filmed and was supposed to air first, so it makes sense. Maybe next week, although that looks like another where the brothers will definitely have their hands full!

I was hoping they would show how Dean reacted to Sam's powers too, but I completely forgot about switching the episodes. This would have been great for the begining of the hiatus.

Lovely episode. Hope the rest are as good!

Preview clips for Dark Side of The Moon can be seen at www.thesupernaturalcrossroads.com. They are courtesy of our Crossroads affiliate Winchester Bros.

Warning, these clips are graphic and shocking. I'm completely beside myself.

Has it aired earlier today?! I've been fighting off sleep here waiting to watch on my usual Justin.tv channel and there's nothing on! (it usually starts at midnight, Brazilian time)

Clarice, passou às 22h, agora que terminou o horário de verão. Eu também pensei que era à meia-noite,mas resolvi checar antes.

Oh, yes, the sneak peeks for next episode. I mean, wow!!! Alice is right, they're quite shocking and jaw-dropping. Honestly, much as I love Bobby, I prefer the brother-centric episodes, and this one promises.

So, Bobby is considered the town drunk?! Way cool to see how he is regarded. I guess I never gave much thought to Bobby's everyday life when he wasn't hunting. Jim Beaver owned this episode.

Just tuning in for a second, folks, awesome episode, wow, kleenex galore...
PoorBobby, why do the good guys always get the short end of the straw? I'd say I need to rewatch it, but I can't till I get home, I guess...: Ah ,well, I won't have much time for t hat anyhow, as the frenzy begins tomorrow. Caught a glimpse of that already.
Take care, everyone, Jas

P.S: and it was absolutely fantastic to watch it live for the first and only time! Ha!

Wow. That was devastating. Poor Bobby. I really liked Karen, she was so sweet. Was it the same actress from DALDOM? I doubt it was, but she was really good here.

I liked the sheriff too. Reminded me of the one from Benders. Digger was smirk worthy :-)

Hm.. It did seem that Dean was a little too chirpy in this one, didn't know this eppie was supposed to come first... How did you guys know?

HA! For boys getting busted, it had to happen sooner or later, but man, that was funny!

Man, that was one shallow grave, wouldn't want to be buried in that cemetery. What was it like, 4 feet? Less? Usually they are deeper than Sams length...

Mrs. Jones. Yuck. And the headshots work here but not in CSPWDT? Well, they did blast their heads off here, so that's kinda hard to heal :-) Loved the Zombie-Shoot -Out, Special Effects were cool.

Oh Bobby :cry::

Next weeks trailer looks exciting. Welcome back Show!!!

Wow! What a way of ending the hellatus!
I need to rewatch but I absolutely loved this episode, the writing, the directing and the acting all perfect! Kudos for Jim Beaver for the amazing acting!

"Who died and made you Queen?" :D
"Another Horseman? Awesome, it must be Thursday." :D

Bobby is the reason why Sam still's saying no to Lucifer? (I did eared that right?)
I liked the sheriff too.And Karen was so sweet even when she knew she was turning she was so sweet always thinking about Bobby. Poor, poor Bobby, thighs are looking pretty bad.

Didn't saw any plot holes and if they exist I agree with Sablegreen, I don't want to know 'cause I'm to happy that hellatus ended!

As for next week episode (of course I went and saw the clips, like if I could help myself and not see it!) I just got one thing to say: Holy crap!

OH WOW! I just watched it and now I have to digest! NOW I am even more hungry for the next episode.
Oh! How the writer's like to mess with our heads and hearts and make us weep! DAMM you Kripke!
I SO hope Bobby does not give in to the thoughts and feelings he must be having now.
I SO loved it when Dean said "Hes our family"
My heart strings are pulled so tight I need to go lie down and think about all this.
Diane

Yay!! Our show is back!! Loved, loved this. So many awesome scenes. This was one very fast paced episode. If this the start of the ramp up and things are just going to get more intense after this then we better hold onto our seats folks because this is going to be one heck of ride.

I recognized the sheriff from another show. I have a six year old who's a big of fan of Disney's Suite Life, she plays Zack and Cody's mom. It tickled me to see her scolding Dean and Sam like she scolds Zack and Cody. But also that she was handling guns and shooting zombies, that just rocked.

Completely forgot about how this was filmed before 5.14, so I can forgive the "hey, that heaping pile of angst? Just forget about it."

This definitely needs a rewatch, lots of stuff to plow through. The acting was fantastic, Jim was wonderfully understated, trying to be the stoic father figure while his heart gets twisted and torn, the bit with Jared and the drooling zombie, fucking awesome, Jensen's expressions when talking with Bobby about what needs to be done.

About time that Sam got to do some gravedigging. Gotta share the labor, man. Unsurprisingly, the gang are crack shots. Even Bobby in his chair can still nail a head shot.

Great, great editing job on the zombie attack at Bobby's place. The sheriff was cool and did a good job, as did the actress who played Karen, but this felt like an episode that could have used an extra 15 minutes to flesh stuff out. C'mon, CW, just make it two hours each week.

I certainly get that Death wants to eliminate one of their pillars of strength and of course no TV show ever, ever, ever, would resort to merely offing an obstacle because where's the story in that, but such tropes always make me chuckle.

Animal House!

And hey, Bobby's not the town drunk any longer because they took the bar! The whole fucking bar!

Once again wonderful writing and phenomenal acting.
This was definitely a tug at your heartstrings episode.
The undying love between Bobby and Karen was heart wrenching.
Karen protecting Bobby right till the end.
Bobby willing to go against Sam and Dean to defend her.
The way Karen tried to befriend Dean and let him know she understood his concerns.:

This show really loves to put your heart, emotions and ethics thru the wringer.
I sympathized with Bobby, the Sheriff and the town folk who had someone return.
What would you do if a dead loved one showed at your door…besides faint.
I think I would embrace every possible precious moment, just to be with them again.
Of course I would have to rethink the matter once they turned cannibalistic. :-?

Bobby the town drunk?
Recluse for sure, a bit off the walk maybe, but I never pictured Bobby socializing at the local pub.
I guess now they understand him a little better.

Thought the episode was great. Especially after having waited so long. I do wish they would have fleshed (he he.. fleshed..) a couple of things out more, though. Was Bobby always known as the town drunk? Or was it after his wife died or when he hit the bottle after Dean went to hell? And how did Sam know to go back to Bobby's for the save at the end? Did he call and get no answer? Did he just have a feeling?

Other than that though, it was definitely well worth waiting for. I hadn't realized that it was supposed to air before the last episode. That would definitely explain a lot. Oh.. and saw the clips for next week and all I can say is... HOLY CRAP!

And the guest director had some truly cool shots in there as well that made me sit up and take notice -- and they didn't detract from the story either but were refreshingly cool -- the first shot was in the cemetery when Sam and Dean first plunged their shovels into the ground to dig up the grave and the shot ends in the hole, very cool. Second shot I liked was a shout out to the X-Files when that show had the cockroaches crawling on the camera screen, this time it was blood on the camera lens at the end after Sam and the sheriff saved Dean and Bobby -- also cool.

I laughed at the Buffy shout out -- Another horseman, must be Thursday.

All in all a very good episode that I will be enjoying again this evening.

Wee, Supernatural is back!!!

I absolutely loved this episode, cried buckets, felt so sorry for both Bobby and Jody, was proud of Sam for stepping up and taking over so nicely, felt terrible to learn that BOBBY is considered town drunk, laughed over "Another horseman, must be Thursday," along with the tax-paying zombie, cupcake baking American girl zombie and Bride of Frankenstein zombie, and was horrified over the nasty, leprous old lady who drooled all over Sam and the Daddy-gobbling little boy who had to be put down like a rabid dog.

Angst level: Way too high!

I hate that Lucifer and Death are trying to pry Bobby apart from the Winchesters, and while I suspect it will ultimately prove impossible, this will give their foster father some unpleasant thoughts to ponder. The lucky ones who get involved with the Winchesters wind up dead. The unlucky ones just wish they were!

For the giant synopsis of "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid", along with the cultural references and such, please check out this link to my moogi review:

Thanks, gang!

Doesn't next week's ep look OUTRAGEOUS?

Wow, great episode.

Oh, Supernarttu, the actress who played Bobby's wife is not the same one from DALDOM,however, she did play the dying nurse in IMTOD AND, imagine my surprise when I checked out her IMDB page, she went to the same high school as me!!! Not the same year but, I have friends who attended the same time she did and they may know her. FUN.

Loved this episode, it had everything that makes this show great!
I have been waiting for a Bobby-episode, and finally it's here :D I just think that Bobby gets too little air time, I wish we would get more insight into his life's story. He's a too important character here, than just to be guest star.

I'm too late commenting here, but after salivating all day Thursday waiting for my show, when I turned it on all I saw was college basketball! When I finished screeching at the ceiling I resigned myself to seeing it the next Wed. on the Space channel.

When I complained to a friend who has a different TV system, he offered to make me a tape and I finally did see it and it was awesome! Loved to see Dean FINALLY getting to eat the pie that he loves. Do you suppose he packed some of those numerous pies into the trunk of the Impala? ;-)

Read on another site about Dean's ring and bracelet which has bothered me for quite some time. Something just doesn't seem right without them. They were asked at the convention why the boys don't wear their jewellery any more and the answer was that the ring and the bracelets (Sam no longer has his either) were all worn out and were ditched. This disappointed me as why couldn't replacements be found? Come on!

Anyway, great show and next week looks all kinds of guh guh guh guh awesome! :o

So happy hellatus is over! Glad to have the show back on. Thinking about how broken Dean was in 5.14 and now Bobby in this one and Sam was in control and takeing charge. I wonder if that's a sign of things to come. Waiting for next weeks episode has me all tied up in knots!

Great..another horsemen, must be Thursday

Well I FINALLY managed to see it...and wowie..

Awesome, funny, sad, wonderful, brilliant...and everything good you could possibly say! I didn't know about the ep switching either..then it makes sense that the angst wasn't as high as it could go hahah.

Poor Bobby...how on earth could he manage to kill the love of his life TWICE..don't blame him for being the town drunk.

The excessive pie-baking was creepy, though I bet it made Dean happy enough, ha!

I also loved watching the brothers in this ep...easy and fluid, no distrust etc.

Sam needs a haircut, please. I don't mind his hair, it's just getting a bit too long. Or is extra hair meant as protection against brain-eating zombies? :-?

I can't wait to see where this is going :-)
