Well, another one…
With all this discussion going on about Dean and the twists and turns of his character, I decided I needed to emphasize his strength of soul, so this comes for all you devoted DeanGirls out there from this devoted SamGirl (who can’t deny a soft spot for the older brother….)
And it’s not only a testament to Dean’s stout heart and so very vulnerable and strong soul (as one does not exclude the other), but also to the talent of that remarkable young actor named Jensen Ackles. Enjoy this little wallow in melancholy, beauty, courage and joy, because – as painful as it may be to follow our heroes’ journey, it is some of the best entertainment I can imagine. And that may just make us textbook masochists. But – nice ones…

It still baffles me how a tv show can get this far under my skin. I'm just glad I'm not alone. Dean just breaks my heart, but without Jensen, there would be no Dean. It's great to read (and watch, thanks Boobula, that was awesome) something like this. It takes you away from the indepth (and sometimes frustrating) thought process that I quite often associate with watching and commenting on an episode or character so be able to be just sit back, relax, enjoy and realise, is brilliant. Tim, it happens to me quite often that I hear a song and instantly think of a character I like or a film (well, or a friend - that happens most of the time,actually). Songs are a beautiful kind of poetry, don't you think, when you find such talented lyricists as this one.
And, you know, it grew mostly on my own tree of not-always-wanting-to-analyze-it-all-to-death. so, this came naturally.

Just saw your excellent video inspired by Jasminka's awesome article. Thank you to both of you for this, Jas for this your recent style of finding songs to capture the essence of the characters and Boobula for creating the video to go along with it. I loved watching the pics come up and how you chose to reverse them as well for extra emotions. I recognized so many of them that I do know how I'm spending this upcoming winter-hellatus, rewatching Seasons 1 through 2 at a minimum.
