Everyone here at The Winchester Family Business wishes you all a very Merry Christmas!  It's been quite a year here for us, and I'm hoping the same is true on your end as well.  Hopefully your day will be filled with joy, family and/or friends, and just an appreciation for the simpler things in life.  Or maybe you're too busy duking it out on the Wii.  That works too.

Jasminka has prepared for all of us today her own version of Christmas classics modified for our Supernatural world.  Plenty of pictures too, just in case you just need a case of the pretty.  Enjoy!

Supernatural Christmas Songs

‘Tis the time to be jolly, oh really? Everyone of us knows our favourite show’s approach to Christmas and the happy pagan god killing that took place a while back. There is no such thing as a conventional Supernatural celebration of Christmas. It can be rather sick, really, you know being tortured in a kitchen full of Christmas cookies and biscuits, killing the baddies with branches of a Christmas tree… What a lovely idea altogether.

So, for my Christmas gift to you, kind readers, this year I will give you poetry of a special kind – take  a dash of fond appreciation for our show, mix it with giggles, laughter and tears of joy, don’t forget child-like wonder and some very dark humour to add to the cocktail.  Stir it up with tantalizing ideas and very sick pictures. Wrap it all in classic music and lyrics slightly not from this world.

I apologize in advance to all the wonderful lyricists who made some of our beloved Christmas songs such heartfelt pieces – as I took the liberty of changing their words according to our show and give you some songs of a different kind. Please feel free to sing the new lyrics to the classic music and have fun. (Just imagine the music in your head, it will be some guilty pleasure…)

I owe my deepest thanks to Julie, my partner in crime with this effort, who gave me inspiration when I was stuck, helped me find some of those pics I had somewhat lost and who composed various lines for our new versions of Jingle Bells, The Angel Gabriel From Heaven Came and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Without her ever encouraging voice this article probably would never have been finished in time.

So, Julie, this is dedicated to you. Thank you so much, dear.

The Christmas Song

(from, well, The Christmas Song)
Dry Bones roasting on an open fire
Zombies nipping at your nose
Off-key carols being sung by brothers
Who sometimes dress up like Eskimos

pastedGraphic.pdf

Every hunter knows, some iron works against your foe,
Helping make your smile so bright,
Well-killed ghosts and demons aglow
Won’t be sleeping well tonight

They know that Dean and Sammy won’t delay,
They have lots of guns and goodies on display

pastedGraphic_1.pdf

And every demon’s child who tries to spy
Will find it hard meeting them not to die

And so I’m offering this simple praise
To brothers cute, loved and a view,
Because of them you’ll be fine, smiles ablaze,
With a ghost-free Christmas, who knew…

Merry Christmas Jasminka.
Loved this. :D

My favorite song is 'Bobby the vet'ran hunter'.

But, 'Santa Sammy', had my favorite pictures. Loved puppy-dog eye Sam, and of course there is the one of the shirtless Soulless one.

Oh Jas! How clever! I really enjoyed Bobby the Vet'ren Hunter but of course "Sammy Santa" tops my list! **such a SamGirl** I'm squeeling with glee! Thanks so much for helping us pass the time til Winter Hellatus is over!

Thank you for the dedication Jas.
I really enjoyed working on these with you. As you know you have created a monster as it is impossible to swith this off once you start. Now, as well as all the other Christmas carols I have now `aldulterated`, my mind has started on other songs and I find new lyrics spinning round in my head constantly.
What have you done? Just how many songs is it possible to ruin? ;-)
The only one I was not aware of was of course `Marys First Child` which naturally you knew I would love!
Glad you all enjoyed them and once again I apologise for possibly ruining these wonderful old standards for future years, and for also causing distress to poor Yirabah, who was eating her lunch when I found a certain tasty image which I sent to Jas via CBOX, security guard platter anyone?
Thanks and hope you all are enjoying the holiday Ju

I think Mary's 1st Child is my personal favorite, but Santa Sammy is a close second. Bobby the Vet'ren Hunter ranks up there too. I don't think I'll ever be able to sing the original lyrics; I like the new ones so much!
Merry Christmas!

You guys need to go on tour with these, seriously!

So between the Pagans and the torture and the car freshener Christmas tree and now these songs, I'll officially never look at Christmas the same way again.

I can't pick a favourite, honest to God I can't. They're all awesome. The Power of Love even made me a little teary-eyed (damn hormones). Plus, the pictures accompanying each one are gorgeous.

Jasminka, Julie, thanks so much for these. It's so amazing (and humbling) that you guys do this in your free time and then put it on here to make us happy. A big bualadh bos (round of applause) to you both.

Late to the party here, but Jas and Julie, that was awesome! Really good job with those. I laughed at all the appropriate times and marveled at your ability to re-create those lyrics. Thanks so much for this! I'd much rather listen to these carols than the original versions.

Yirabah, NancyL, Leslie92708, Karen, Dany, Julie, Freebird, BagginsDVM, Tim the Enchanter, Ardeospina, I am a bit late to answering your lovely comments, been away for about a week and rarely had the opportunity to venture tot he www….

Yirabah, love it that you loved it, And – no need to apologize: as I said, without Julie… who knows when I would have finished this?!

NancyL, I just couldn’t resist a Santa Sammy version… guilty pleasures galore…

Califonian Leslie, I’d love to hear your squeal… hehehehe (witchy laughter…)

Karen, happy to help you pass the Christmas time!

Dany – it’s a well-known problem, alas, I have the same one. Whenever I hear those songs now, I also hear the other lyrics… those other, funny, sick… lyrics

Julie, it has been nothing but joy working on this with you. And sick fun. Have I created a monster? HAHA! Finally, I get to play Frankenstein a bit!

Lara, I hope you had a beautiful Christmas down by the sea!

Dawn, perhaps we should think of producing a Supernatural Christmas Songs CD?

EnchantingTim, ha, what a brilliant idea! ‘Lawrence-Sick-Tours proudly presents…’ I trust when we hit Eire we’ll make sure to put you in the front row!

Flamey, it was so much fun ‘transforming’ the lyrics. Once started, stopping was impossible, like a runaway motorbike…

Thank you everyone. On behalf of Julie and myself – we’re honoured and happy to have provided such fun for you for those sentimental days of Christmas. Love, Jas
